Rosemary Diemel

d. February 7, 2015

Rosemary Rose J. Diemel, age 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 7, 2015. She was born on December 12, 1943 in Oshkosh the daughter of the late John and Vernas (Matulle) Tomasko. Rose was united in marriage on June 16, 1973 to Roger Diemel at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters. Rose was an avid reader and could have opened up her own library. She especially loved Christian novels that took place in Bible time, pioneer days and in the lives of the Amish. These types of books satisfied her curiosity about the history and customs of these cultures and also deepened her relationship with Jesus which was her greatest desire. On the lighter side, we refer to Rose as the garage sale queen! If there was a deal out there, she could find it and we were all amazed at the treasures she could come up with! She perservered as bravely as possible since her massive heart attack in August of 2012, and we have been grateful for the two additional years we had with her.She will be greatly missed by her entire family, but we are confident that she is resting in the arms of Jesus and we look forward to meeting her at the Eastern Gate! Rose is survived by her husband Roger, two daughters: Veronica Berglund of Oshkosh and Victoria (Michael) Roeder of Hudson; four grandchildren: Jeanine Johnson, Alyce Johnson, Nathan (Krisha) Roeder and Allison Roeder; one great-grandson, Braxton Johnson, one brother, John Tomasko of Oshkosh, one sister, Peggy (Jim) Pantol of Oshkosh, one sister-in-law, Susan (Mark) Goodacre of Oshkosh; further survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral Services will be at 12:00 pm noon, on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, with Pastor Keith Walton and Pastor Michael Roeder officiating.
