Rosina C. Luckow

Rosina Carolina Luckow, age 89, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Oakwood Manor in Oshkosh. She was born in Appleton on January 4, 1934, to the late Joseph and Hulda (Buman) Elmer. Rosina married Ronald Luckow on December 31, 1953.

Rosina enjoyed playing in dart and cribbage leagues. Throughout her life she would sew her children’s clothing from scratch. She took a job with Oshkosh B’Gosh later in life. Rosina also worked at the Arrowhead Restaurant in Winneconne for many years prior. She loved gardening, growing vegetables and flowers. Rosina always enjoyed her dogs, playing with them while doing the wash. She also had a good time with the guinea pig, rattling lettuce paper to hear him geek. Rosina always had music playing in the house and she loved to dance. She took care of her children, well into her twilight years. If one of them was hurting, she was there.

Rosina is survived by her children: Diane Hoover, Cindy (Surander) Singh, June Luckow, Tim Luckow, Jim Luckow; grandchildren: Dean, Michael, Jason, Rebecca, Cougar, Sarah, Kimberly, Carrie, Cedar; great grandchildren: Kayla, Izzy, Anna, Briana, Dominic, Alex, Joey, Kayson, Ethan, Lucien, Gabriel, Gideon, Aspen, Avery, Baylee, Riker, Tegan, Zoey; siblings: Lester (Jean) Elmer, Leonard (Janet) Elmer, Mary (George) Johnson; brother-in-law: Jerry (Kay) Luckow; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ronald Luckow; daughters: Susan and Vicki Luckow; parents: Joseph and Hulda Elmer; siblings: Shirley (Clifford) Janssen, Raymond (Deanna) Elmer, Nancy (Dave) Erdman, Kermid Elmer; mother and father-in-law: Arnold and Viola Luckow; brothers and sisters-in-law: Kermit (Betty) Luckow, Helen (Woodward) Wheelock, Jean (Robert) Kirk, Jerry (Kay) Luckow, and triplet Luckow girls.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 7, 2023, at the Lake View Memorial Park chapel. Visitation will take place at the chapel from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place immediately following the service.
