Roxanne Lee Nelson

Roxanne L. Nane Nelson, 57, of Oshkosh died unexpectedly on Thursday June 7, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born September 3, 1954 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Clement and Agnes McCormick Goodacre. Roxanne married Earl Nelson Sr. on July 7, 1972 in Oshkosh. Roxanne had worked for the past two years at the Unified Catholic Schools as an aide. She was a member of the St. Jude Parish-St. Vincent Catholic Church. She was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed fishing, bird watching, camping, and campfires. Roxannes greatest joy was family gatherings and especially time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Earl Sr. of Oshkosh; a daughter, Robin (Richard) Schwartz of Oshkosh; three sons, Earl Jr. (Julie) Nelson of Oshkosh, Jason Nelson of Chicago, and Joseph Nelson of Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Hunter, Cole, and Lauren Nelson, Jacob and Emma Schwartz; a sister Sharon (Robert) Goodacre-Hielsberg of Hayward; two brothers Clem (Kathryn) Goodacre Jr. of Oshkosh and William Goodacre of Oshkosh; many nieces and nephews, and her best friend Wendy Crawford. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rickey Goodacre. A memorial service for Roxanne is being held Tuesday June 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude Parish-St. Vincent Church, corner of Oregon St. and South Park Ave. with the Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
