Ruth Bernice Sophia Krumenauer

d. May 27, 2015

What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face the one who saved me by His grace! At 101 years old, that day came on May 27, 2015 for Ruth Bernice Sophia (Buntrock) Krumenauer. She is a daughter of KING JESUS and one of four daughters born to Aldor and Louise (Flack) Buntrock in Oshkosh on November 14, 1913. After graduating high school in 1932, she worked at Bell Machine Co. where she made match-filled little flower pots. She married Mark W. Krumenauer on June 4, 1937. In 1954 they started the Krumenauer Co. Inc, a restaurant supply company still successfully operating under the third generation of our family. The Lord blessed Mark and Ruth with four children, Constance (Chuck) Zonick of Flippin, Arkansas; Susan Lautenschlager Hawkins of Oshkosh; Peter (Susan Salzsieder) of Oshkosh and that surprise oops baby that came later in life, Linda Bartelt Cotton (Ben) of Appleton. Ruth has 10 grandchildren: Curtis (Veronica) Zonick, Michele Ford, Michael (Tari) Lautenschlager, Daniel (Tracie) Lautenschlager, Christopher (Ellen) Krumenauer, Kim (Steve) Cecil, Rebecca Bartelt (Jeff Sarnowski); Brian (Jaclyn) Bartelt; Shanda Cotton and Sarah (Brian) Schwartz. Great Grandchildren are: Brett Zonick; Chandler & Cole Ford; Justin Putzer, Shanon & Logan Lautenschlager; Victoria & Alex Lautenschlager; Lucas Krumenauer; Kaela, Connor & Caeden Cecil; Isaac & Corbin Schwartz and Anna Sarnowski. We often kidded mom and accounted her longevity to the fact that she was pickled, because she liked sour things with her main meal and she never met a tomato she didnt like. Tho she never drove a day in her life, she didn't let that slow her down. Through the years, God filled her life with many wonderful friends that would take her where she needed to be. She loved life to the fullest, calling herself a party girl, always enjoying the company of people, and being involved. Our mom was a homemaker in every sense of the word making bread/donuts on Saturday mornings, sewing clothes, reading us stories and tucking us in at night with a kiss and a prayer. Through the years she volunteered at the Oshkosh Museum Auxiliary, Mercy Medical Center, Read School, UWO Pollock Alumni Office, Altar Guild and was part of many group activities like Bible studies, Dennis Leatherman (Oshkosh Sr. Center) line dancers, bowling league, 20th Century, Red Hat, Homemakers and the Weidner Girls.Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years; a great grandchild, Abigail; son-in-law, Jerry; her parents; in-laws; siblings; and special friend, Fred Petzold who filled her life with love and joy for 10 years.A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00pm at Peace Lutheran Church, 240 W. 9th St., Oshkosh. Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm. A memorial has been established to support mom's favorite charities.A special thank you and prayer of blessing to all of the staff and residents of Evergreen, as well as Generations Hospice staff who loved mom to the end. Amongst mom's possessions, we found a hand written note.... Home-with my parents and siblings. Next it was my children and dear husband. Now, at my advanced age, home with the Lord and Jesus is what Im eager for. Mom, you are HOME at last and for those who believe, we will see you again! Hallelujah what a Savior!
