Ruth D. Safford

Ruth D. Safford, age 77, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Northpoint Medical and Rehab. She was born to Clyde and Irene (Hass) Merrill. She was married to Leland Lipke, the father of her children, and then later married Merritt Safford Jr. of Oshkosh. She is survived by her five children, Betty (Gordy) Monroe and their nine children, LaVern Heffner and her three children, Richard Lipke and his four children, Mary Malchow, and Louise Lipke and her two children; step children Michael Safford and his family and Kimberly Safford. She is further survived by eleven great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded by her parents; both husbands; brother, Richard Merrill; and sister, Betty Merrill.A memorial service for Ruth will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Northpoint Medical and Rehab for taking care of Ruth for the last 12 years and of Generations Hospice.
