Sharon Lee Rumachik

Sharon L. Rumachik, 79, Oshkosh, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Aurora Medical Center. She was born September 11, 1936, in Madison, daughter of Stanley and Helen (Landis) Haukedahl. On January 7, 1956, Sharon married David Rumachik in Waukegan, Illinois. Sharon was a member of the United Methodist Women-First Church, Womens Auxiliary VFW Post 10892-Neshkoro, and former member of the Eastern Star.Sharon is survived by her husband of 59 years, David, Oshkosh; children: Debra (John) Streufert, Woodbridge, VA; Jeffrey (Karmen) Rumachik, Harrisburg, PA; and Rene (Joseph) Best, Salem, WI; 9 grandchildren: Daniel (Deirdre), Benjamin (Anna), and Jessica Streufert, Carl (Jill), Neil, and Peyton Rumachik, Thomas (Jayne), Nickolas (Amber) and Spencer (Heather) Best; 4 great grandchildren: Lincoln, Martin, Mathew, and Claire; step-mother, Ruth Haukedahl, Columbus, OH; and 3 brothers: Blane (Ardith), Mark, and Reed Haukedahl. She was preceded in death by her parents.Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, 700 W. Linwood Drive, Oshkosh, with Rev. John Hobbins officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Sharons name.The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Evergreen Care Center, Creekview Rehabilitation, for their care and compassion.
