Shirley Ann Mathe

Shirley Ann Mathe, age 77 of Oshkosh, died Friday March 12, 2010 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Escanaba, Michigan on February 25, 1933, the daughter of Lawrence and Ellen Erickson Duford. She married Donald L. Babe Mathe on August 18, 1951 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2007.Shirley worked many years as a waitress at Fields Restaurant and Schoenbergers Bakery. She enjoyed bowling, golf and shopping.She is survived by two sons, David (Peggy) Mathe of Arlington Heights, IL and James (Cindy) Mathe of Oshkosh; a daughter Mitzie Mathe of Oshkosh; two sisters Patricia (Calvin) Bleuel of North Fond du Lac; Judy Streeter of North Fond du Lac and a brother Lawrence (Shirley) Duford of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Stephanie Mathe, Keegan Mathe, Sarah Otradovec, Jill (Kevin) Griffin, Amanda (Dan) Niesen and a very special friend Barbara Peterson.Cremation has taken place and per Shirleys wishes there will be no visitation.The family wishes to express their gratitude for care given to Shirley by Dr. Karen Gremminger and her staff and to Affinity Hospice.A memorial has been established in Shirleys name to Affinity Visiting Nurses, Hospice Services, at 816 W. Winneconne Ave. Neenah, WI 54956
