Shirley May Brehmer

Shirley M. Brehmer, age 85, of Oshkosh, died Thursday December 1, 2011 at Century Oaks. She was born on November 24, 1926 in Oshkosh a daughter of Fredrick and Laura Ebert Ahrens. On June 29, 1946 she married Floyd Brehmer in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death in 2011.She loved gardening, playing cards and thrift shopping. She is a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.She is survived by her son Floyd(Sue) Brehmer of Oshkosh, one brother William Ahrens of Eau Claire, one sister Doris(Jess) Johns of Texas, four grandchildren Scott(friend Jenny) Brehmer, Brenda(Dave) Knaack, Cherri(friend Jason) Brehmer, Jodi(Dave) Kelley, nine great-grandchildren Tricia, Christian, Andy(Tia), Zandi, Cami, Ezra, Zech, Jacob, Coltin. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.Funeral services for Shirley will be held on Saturday December 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Lutheran Church with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday December 2, 2011 at church from 5-7 p.m. and again on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. to the service time. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the staff at Century Oaks and Hospice Advantage for their care of Shirley.
