Susan A Gauger

July 25, 1944 — May 12, 2007

Susan A. Gauger, of Oshkosh, passed into the Lords hands on Saturday May 12, 2007 at age 62 with her family at her side. She was born July 25, 1944 in Oshkosh a daughter of Arthur and Alice (Kramer) Wuest. On May 13, 1967 she married Gordon Gauger in Oshkosh. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church and worked for the state of Wisconsin for 38 years until her retirement in August 2000. During her retirement she devoted her time in helping others by volunteering at Cherry Meadows Hospice and Theda Care at Home. She also volunteered for Hospice in Bradenton, FL., while spending time at her condo in Florida. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends along with walking, golfing, gardening, sewing, but most of all just enjoying life. After the death of her husband Gordon, she shared a life with William Emrich for 30 years until his death in November 1, 2002.She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Gauger (Thomas Oelerich) and Christina (Mark) Emrich Butkiewicz and four grandchildren, Kimberlys daughter Amalia Monsour, and Christina and Marks children Nicholas, Brandee and Rachel. She is also survived by two sisters Mary (Oscar) Hildebrandt, Edna (Garret) Gorman; two brothers, Richard (Mary Ellen) Wuest, Louis (Kathleen) Wuest; Williams two sisters Paulen (John) Wrigley and Margie (Perry) Walters, twelve nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, life companion William Emrich, and her nephew, Peter Gorman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 18, 2007 at 1:30 at St. John Catholic Church with Rev William Van De Kreeke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:30 until the time of the service. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.You will be missed by many.A smile is the light in the window of your face that tells people that your heart is at home.
