Susanne C. Pistohl, 77 of Oshkosh, passed Friday October 1, 2010 at Theda Clark Medical Center of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.She was born in Oshkosh on November 22, 1932 daughter of George and Cecelia Montag Kempinger. On August 18, 1956 she married Jay Pistohl in Oshkosh. Susanne had held her Cosmetologists managers license for over 30 years. She had been employed by the Constance Beauty Salon and also at Bethel Home. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish. She had also belonged to Catholic Daughters; the Oshkosh Choraliers; the Oshkosh Twins Club; and volunteered at the Grand Opera House. She was dedicated to her large family of eight children, 19 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, Jay Pistohl of Oshkosh; children, Daniel E. (Ann) Pistohl of Oshkosh, Lynn (Kent) Pistohl-McCaslin of Richardson, TX, Russell L. Pistohl of Oshkosh, Ronald L. (Pamela) Pistohl of Oshkosh, Cecelia M. (Gary) Jones of Winneconne, Ann M. (Steve) Steinert of Oshkosh, Kelly A. (Shawn) Landstrom of Appleton, and Deborah S. (Timmothy) Portman of Watertown, WI; grandchildren, Evan, Connor, Claire, Harrison, Crystal Lee, Tabitha, Thomas, Justin, Ashley, Rylee, Ryan, John, Abigail, Eva, Abraham, Rebecca, Brent, Katie, and Chelsey McCoy; great grandchildren, Kaiden, and Trace; sister, Judith (Jerome) Bauer of Oshkosh; brothers/in/law, Gordon Pete (Beverly) Pistohl of Oshkosh, and Richard LeBeck of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shirley Puestohl, and Mary LeBeck; and brother/in/law, Rodney Puestohl. Sue was a devoted wife, loving mother, and was adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her faith in God, which she instilled in her family. She found enjoyment in reading, cross-stitch, puzzles, and singing in church and community choirs.Mother, thank you for the love that you shared. You will forever hold a special place in each one of our hearts.A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday October 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish- St. Mary Church (401 Merritt Avenue) with Fr. James Jugenheimer officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established in Susannes name.[The church is on the corner of Merritt Avenue and Monroe Street in Oshkosh]
