Theodora Szesterniak

Theodora Szesterniak, 85 of Oshkosh, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, October 20, 2007. She was born in the Ukraine on February 13, 1922, a daughter of Mykola Mindziak (Zuletzt Wohnhaft in Stebnyk) and Kardacz Geborene Rolalia (Aufenthalt Unbekannt). She married Fedir Szesterniak while living in Germany. Fedir preceded her in death in August 2001.After emigrating from Germany in 1950, Theodora and Fedir made their home in Chicago. In 1962 they settled in Redgranite, where she assisted her husband with the family farm until 1993, and then moved to Oshkosh. A loving, kind hearted and hard working mother of four children, she enjoyed gardening and loved to cook for her grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Jerry (Donna) Szesterniak, Redgranite, WI; Peter (Barbara) Szesterniak, Brookfield, WI; Wally (Sandy) Szesterniak, Oshkosh; one daughter, Mary (Michael) Rebman, Oshkosh; Eight grandchildren and five step grandchildren; Anissa Szesterniak. Tammy (Dan) Mulvey, Shawn (Kristen) Wolfgram, Amanda Reilly, Mike (Kelly) Szesterniak, Jennifer (Brian) Holly, Scott (Fianc Daniela Ilic) Szesterniak, Brian Szesterniak, Tracy (Ken) Gehrke, Tammy (Mike) Wolf, Shawn (Erica) Szesterniak, Aaron Rebman, Ryan Rebman; two great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren, Jalen Gehrke, Reece Gehrke, Clint Pike Shana Pike, Allyson Wolfgram, Chelsea Reilly and Carter Reilly.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church (830 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh) on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Carl Schmitt officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to the time of Mass. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial to St. Raphael Catholic Church or Meals on Wheels has been established.The family especially would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Aurora palatable care and Touchmark assisted living facility.
