Thomas Andrew Carroll

Thomas A. Carroll, 86, of Oshkosh died Sunday, January 1, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 15, 1919 in Chicago, a son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Goss) Carroll. Tom married Eleanor Kearin on June 23, 1951 in Chicago. Tom owned and operated a hardware store in Rib Lake for many years. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, where he saw action at the Omaha Beach invasion. He was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Eleanor of Oshkosh; three daughters Mary (Joe) Thiel of Oshkosh, Ellen (Barry) Bender of New London, Peggy (Mike) Czerniak of Medford; three sons Tom (Marilyn) Carroll of Brookfield, Dan Carroll of Menasha, Joe (Diane) Carroll of Kimberly; a sister Peggy Nash Burke of Oakbrook, IL; and ten grandchildren Sarah, Maureen, Michael, John, Laura, David, Alex, Kelly, Kyle, and Amy. He was preceded in death by a brother Jack and an infant sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 6, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-West on Thursday from 5-8 PM and at the church Friday from 9:30 AM until the service. Burial will follow. A memorial has been established. Thomas family would like to send a special thank you to the ICU Staff at Mercy Medical Center for the special care an attention given.
