January 10, 1948 — January 25, 2024

Thomas (Tom) Lee Cook, age 76, passed away on January 25, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Tom was born on January 10, 1948 to Berns and Gladys (Heimke) Cook. He attended Oshkosh High School, graduating in 1966 and lived his entire life in Oshkosh. Tom married Mary Koepsel on June 19, 1976 in Neenah.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom is survived by his wife, Mary, two sons: Matthew (Bethany), Aaron (Ana) and grandchildren Lia and Elliot. He is also survived by three siblings: Daniel (Doreen) Cook, twin brother Timothy (Cathy) Cook and Lois, fondly known as Louie, (Jon) D’Aleo as well as several nieces and nephews.

Tom was employed by the City of Oshkosh through his retirement in 2003. He was very proud of the 24 years he spent in the U.S. Army Reserve, which was evident by his signature army jacket. Tom loved “smoking and joking” with his tenants during the 44 years he spent as a landlord. He also loved gardening and sharing his produce with friends and neighbors. But more than anything, he was proud of his two boys and grandchildren.
