Verona Lucille Wohlt

Verona L. Wohlt, age 86, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on Friday February 8, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Bloomfield, WI on August 5, 1921 to Walter and Elsie (Miller) Koehler. On November 9, 1940 she married the love of her life, Robert L. Wohlt. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1991. As a young woman, Verona was proud to be crowned Miss Weyauwega. She worked at Kay Fashions and later at Burrs Grocery Store. Verona enjoyed reading, playing cards, working on puzzles, cooking, clipping recipes, being involved in her church, watching the Packers, and above all spending time with her family. Verona is survived by her two daughters Georgia and John Schaetz of Redgranite, Sherred and Gary Wuest of Oshkosh; eight grandchildren Scott (Michele) Wuest of Oshkosh, Gina (Jay) Munig of Oshkosh, Gus (Melissa) Wuest of Appleton, Teresa Schaetz of Berlin, John (Patti) Schaetz of Shiocton, Jess (Mary Jane) Schaetz of Pulaski, Timothy Schaetz of Chandler, AZ, and Robert Schaetz of Ormond Beach, FL.; 16 great-grandchildren Nicki (Thomas) Faulkner, Sarah Klawitter, Tiffany, Casey, Beau Schaetz, Phillip, Jane, Joseph, Frances Schaetz, Samantha Schaetz, Emily, Hannah, Natalie Wuest, Grace and Garret Munig, and Gary Wuest; and three great-great-grandbabies Dakota, Mason, and Olivia. She is further survived by her brother and sisters, Leroy (Geneva) Koehler of Appleton, Loraine Holcombe of Weyauwega, Werner (Jeanine) Koehler of Appleton, Ardyce DeBruin of Grand Chute, and Duane (Elizabeth) Koehler of Weyauwega; and her brother and sisters-in-law, Russell Wohlt of Fremont, Florence Wohlt of Fremont, and Janet Wohlt of Weyauwega. Verona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Family and friends may call at the Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd., on Tuesday February 12, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at which time Revs. Jeff Berg and Nathan Ericson will lead a celebration of Veronas life. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park
