Virginia E. Goyke

Virginia E. Goyke, 88 of Ft. Myers, FL formerly of Omro died Saturday September 25, 2010 at Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born in Weyauwega, WI on June 5, 1922 daughter of Ernst and Ida Neuman Wendt. On June 27, 1946 she married Melvin Goyke. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1976.Virginia had been employed by Oshkosh Technical Institute; First National Bank; and the Ripon Community Credit Union. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh and had belonged to the Senior Choir; and Dorcas Circle. She had also belonged to Wedgewood Golf League and Social Club in Omro. Virginia is survived by her nephew, David (Bonnie) Ziegenhagen of Neenah, WI; nieces, Mary Ann (Allen) Cancil of Denver, CO, Judy Caldwell of Westminster, CO, and Karen (John) Willis of Van Dyne, WI; sister-in-law, Eunice Wendt of Loveland, CO; and step great nieces, Diane Mutter of Ft. Myers, FL, and Lorinda King of Omro, WI. Virginia was preceded in death by brothers, Alfred, Earl, Wilbert, Ralph, and Harvard Wendt; sister, Viola Peppler, and a niece, Betty Sobotka.Her funeral will be Friday October 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with the Rev. Timothy Greenwald officiating. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorials may be given to the First English Lutheran Church Choir Fund.
