Virginia Fern Hunke

Virginia F. Hunke, 85, of Oshkosh died Monday November 30, 2009 at Aurora Medical Center.She was born April 12, 1924 in Omro a daughter of the late Edward Sr. and Pauline Warmbeier Becker. Virginia married Kenneth W. Hunke on June 21, 1940 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on June 25, 1992.Virginia loved music, quilt making and traveling. She volunteered at her Church in Jump River and had also delivered Meals on Wheels.Her survivors include two daughters, Dolores (Lester) Hoffman of Ripon and Trish Jamison of Omro; two sons, Gary (Jane) Hunke Of Tawas City, MI and Douglas Hunke of Omro; two sisters, Lila (Jess) Johnston of Oshkosh and Ester (Jack) Simplot of Boise, ID; a brother, Philip (Janet) Becker of Berlin; nine grandchildren, Deanna Williams, Cindy Luft, Mark Krebs, Scott Krebs, Paul Donahue, Jeanne Hunke, Dawn Carstensen, Tina Brady and Christopher Hunke; 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Peterson and Ruby Cismoski, and a brother, Edward Becker. Funeral services for Virginia will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church (1072 Honey Creek Road). Visitation will be held on Wed. from 11 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
