Virginia Mae Morris

June 4, 1926 — October 3, 2012

Virginia M. Morris, 86, of Oshkosh died, Wednesday October 3, 2012, at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation, in her sleep with family by her side. She was born June 4, 1926 in Wisconsin Rapids a daughter of Joseph and Anna Jackan. She married Raymond Morris on November 6, 1948 in Wisconsin Rapids. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2009. She was a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, was an avid Packer fan, and loved animals-especially dogs. Virginia is survived by three daughters, Barbara Morris, Diane (Ro) Menk, and Marie (James) Mathwig; two sons, James (Vickie) Morris and Michael (Julie) Morris; 11 grandchildren, Paul Morris, Nick Balcom, Josh (Jill) Schultz, Andy Schultz, Danny Schultz, Matt Schultz, Logan Morris, Luke Morris, Levi Morris, Jameson Mathwig, and Megan Mathwig; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Genevieve, Melanie, and Dorothy; and five brothers, Joseph, Richard, Raymond, Fabian, and Ignatius. A memorial mass is being held Wednesday October 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Rev. Luke Ferris officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established to the Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter, 1120 James Dr., Hartland, WI 53029. From the family-a heartfelt thanks to the Nurses and staff at Northpoint Medical & Rehab for the love and care youve given our mother/grandmother over the years. Youve all been a blessing to her and our family. Also, thank you to Generations Health Care & Hospice for the care and concern you had for our mother/grandmother and our family. Thank you Chaplain Ken for the time you spent with us, you were a great comfort to us. Write it on your heart that the ones you love are lifes most precious gifts. My mom, my precious gift, I love you. --Marie Grandmothers and roses are much the same, each are Gods masterpieces with different names. We love you.-Jameson, Megan, Logan, Luke, and Levi.
