Walter Edwin Rosanske

Walter E. Rosanske, 94, of Oshkosh, died Thursday June 8, 2006 at Evergreen Retirement Community. He was born February 18, 1912 in Oshkosh the son of Fred and Augusta Jahnke Rosanske. On September 2, 1939 he married Myrtle Werner in Oshkosh. Walter worked at Werner Grocery for 43 years. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church where he was an usher for 68 years, a Sunday School Supervisor for 53 years, a money counter, and part of the mailing staff. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Society and Lutheran Men in Mission.He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Myrtle Rosanske, two sons Richard(Alicia) Rosanske of Tallahassee, FL., Dr. Thomas(Patricia) Rosanske of Overland Park, KS., one daughter Carol(Dennis) Eichmann of Muskego, one sister Hazel Abraham of Oshkosh, seven grandchildren Tera Eichman, Todd Eichman, Jamie Eichman, Chad Eichman, Matthew Rosanske, Rebecca Rosanske, Rachel Rosanske, two great-granchildren Klint Kasch, Kylie Kasch, and one sister-in-law Fern Werner.Funeral services will be held on Sunday June 11, 2006 at 4 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church with Rev. Chuck Fluegel officiating. Visistation will be held on Sunday at church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.A memorial has been established.
