Warren J. Moon, 84, of Oshkosh, died Monday July 23, 2007 at Evergreen Retirement Community-Creekview. He was born October 30, 1922 in Oshkosh a son of Nathan and Erna Weber Moon. On April 29, 1944 he married Ruth Henry in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1999.Warren was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He was a dairy farmer and had won numerous awards for his Guernsey cows. In 1987 he sold the cows but continued to farm the land until 1997. He was a volunteer fireman for the town of Algoma for many years, a school board member for Grange School, an ASCS board member, he operated Moon Farm Dairy until 1953, had a passion for dancing and belonged to many dance clubs where he made many dear friends.He is survived by one son David(Joye) Moon of Oshkosh, one daughter Karen(Ed) Malnory of Trinity, FL., one brother Jerry(Joann) Moon of Omro, one sister Jane(Russ) Larson of Oshkosh, four grandchildren Matt(Fianc?e Cindy Holland) Malnory of Dade City, FL., Patrick Malnory of Zephyr Hills, FL, Nathan(Karen) Moon of Tallahassee, FL., and Rachel Moon of Fish Creek. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters-in-law Phillip(Joyce) Moon and James(Mabel) Moon.Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Winneconne CemeteryA memorial has been established A special thank you to Kathy Poeschl, Holly Poeschl, and Donna Singstock for the care and kindness they showed to Warren for many years.
