Wesley Robert Abraham, age 73, lost his one-year battle with cancer on July 22, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his family. Wes was born to Robert B. and Esther E. (Hintz) Abraham on August 13, 1937 in Oshkosh, where he resided his entire life. Lewis, Washington during the Berlin Crisis. Wes retired from Oshkosh Corp. in 1999 after 36 years of dedicated service in many capacities, retiring from their Chassis Division. One of the positions he held was of Filed Service Rep. This allowed him to travel the world and from these travels he brought home many cultured gifts for his family and many more very interesting stories to share with family and friends. Wes was a man of great integrity earning respect and admiration from many people throughout his life. His compassion for others included helping anyone he was able to, including complete strangers. His hobbies included woodworking, having built several items for his church and furniture for his family and friends. His biggest achievement in life was the building of his cottage in Gresham, WI, where his family enjoyed many happy times.
