William M Meyer

William M. Meyer, 92, of Oshkosh died Thursday May 12, 2011 at Century Oaks, Oshkosh. He was born April 13, 1919 in Racine a son of the late Matthew and Alma Meyer. William married Norma Dushenski on April 15, 1941 in Oshkosh. William had worked at Meyer & Sons Grocery Store and then worked as an agent at Duffy Meyer Insurance for 32 years. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was a WWII Army veteran. His survivors include his wife Norma of Oshkosh; a daughter Marlyn Dobberke of Oshkosh; three sons Jack (Jane) Meyer of Oshkosh, Daniel (Barbara) Meyer of Oshkosh, and Tom Meyer of Omro; a brother Robert (Dutch) Meyer of Oshkosh; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters Lydia Manney and Marcella Sally Kufel and two brothers Leroy Meyer and Adolph Duffy Meyer. A funeral service for William will be held Sunday May 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established to Century Oaks or the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. Williams family would like to thank the staffs at Century Oaks and Heartland Hospice for all the wonderful care given.
