William Strey

William M. F. Strey, 91, of Oshkosh, went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2008 at Harbor House. He was born February 2, 1917 in Oshkosh to Walter and Lina Rilling Strey. He was married to Opal Lisney. She preceded him in death.William was a Captain in the United States Army stationed at Panama Canal. He worked as an electrician at Electric Power Plant in Rockford, IL. and for 15 years at Chicco,(Warner Lambert) in Rockford. Before retirement he moved back to Oshkosh and worked at City Water Works. He was a member of Wyldewood Baptist Church.He is survived by two sisters-in-law Erma Pesch, Mary Lou Strey, two brothers-in-law Carl Bucholz and Les Conger along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters Mary Bucholz, Shirley Conger, and one brother Morris Strey.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Rev. Randall King officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park.William had a missionarys heart to help get Gods word out all around the world so a memorial fund is being set up for Bearing Precious Seed Printing ministry.
