Yvonne S Jajtner

June 29, 1937 — October 1, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Swenson Jajtner. Yvonne was born on June 29, 1937 to George and Josephine Swenson. She began her life in River Falls, Wl. She graduated from River Falls High School in 1955 and Stout State College in 1959. She taught home economics in Hudson, Wl. After marrying Joe in 1962 she moved to Oshkosh and taught at Webster Stanley Middle School. She left teaching to start a family. While raising her children she found great joy in selling AVON and working as a bailiff. Her life was mainly centered around her
family. She could always be seen encouraging and cheering for her
daughters at their school events. She was also involved extensively with the Oshkosh North Booster Club from 1980-1989. For the past 15 years she and her husband avoided the Wisconsin winter weather by becoming snowbirds and traveling to Pensacola, Florida.
Yvonne is survived by Joseph, her husband of 56 years; daughters Heidi (Brian) Gerndt, Amy Captain, and Nancy (Brian) Stegeman; grandchildren Stormy and Scout Gerndt, Taylor and Sami Captain, and Katie and Mitch Stegeman. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law Betty and Jane Swenson, a brother-in-law Leroy Jajtner, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Eugene and Duane Swenson, and a foster brother Irving (Celeste) Ulsrud.
Yvonne would like to thank all of the family and friends who helped to make her life so special. A special thanks goes out to Bethel Nursing Home and Ascension Hospice Care. Per Yvonne's wish there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers a scholarship has been established.
