Alice Ann Micheli

Nov 26, 1934 — Sep 23, 2026

Alice Micheli, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, surrounded by family. Known for her enduring kindness, her deep faith, her active lifestyle and apple bars. Among her many passions she was an avid bowler for 70 years. The sport brought her immense joy, kept her young at heart and blessed her with a community of wonderful friends.

Alice was born in Wild Rose, WI on November 26, 1934, to the late Roman and Hattie (Sarnowski) Korleski. She was a graduate of Wild Rose High School

Alice married Hilbert J. Strey with whom she shared 42 wonderful years and together they raised 5 children (Mike, Mark, Sue, John & David).

She worked at the Wild Rose Hospital as an aide and then ward-clerk for 20+ years. Alice is preceded in death by her first husband who died in 1994.

In 1998 Alice found love again and married Joseph Micheli on October 17, 1998, with whom she spent her final, happiest years traveling, golfing, bowling, baking and spending time with her family and friends.

The world lost a little bit of its brightness. A life well-lived came to a quiet close, leaving a permanent mark on the hearts of anyone who knew her.

Alice is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Micheli; her children, Michael (Cynthia) Strey, Mark (Susan) Strey, Susan (William) Golden, John (Diane) Strey and David (Lisa) Strey. She also leaves behind 9 cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life, Tom Strey, Kyle Strey, Wesley Strey, Kristi Streeter, Cody Thompson, Rachael Strey, Grace Strey, Alexandra Strey & Ryan Strey and ten Great Grandchildren: Priya Strey, Owen Strey, Avery Strey, Evan Strey, Edwin Strey, Elliott Strey, Quenton Strey, Landon Streeter, Aidan Streeter, Walter Thompson and Estelle Thompson.

Alice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her and whose life she affected.
