Ann Elizabeth Moore

August 19, 1953 — May 6, 2026

Ann E. Moore, age 72, passed away at Edenbrook of Omro on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She was born to the late Harold and E. Bonita (Bonnie Coburn) Zittel on August 19, 1953 in Mondovi, WI. Ann married Terry Moore in December 1995 and they were together until his passing on June 10, 2016. In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents Jules and Lillian (Benning) Zittel, Maternal Grandparents C. Clinton and Elizabeth (Flemming) Coburn, and her sister Mari Ellen Koch.

Ann is survived by her brother Thomas (Jane) Zittel, Eau Claire, WI, and her sister Susan Denning, Oshkosh, WI. She is also survived by Tom's two daughters, Angie (David) Koecheler of Strum, WI, and Amy (Steve) Anderson of Eleva, WI, along with Angie's children, Alissa, Richard, Percy, Edward, and Marlyse, and Amy's children, Hayden, Hunter, and Holden. She was also an exceptional aunt to her sister Susan's children, Nathan Kafka of Appleton, WI, and Garrett Denning of La Crosse, WI.

Ann attended Sacred Heart Grade School and graduated from Mondovi High School in 1971. She received her Bachelor's Degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Viterbo University in May 1975. While working on research on the Missouri River in South Dakota, she received her Master's Degree in Biology from South Dakota State University. She remained in South Dakota and went to pharmacy school and became a licensed pharmacist in May 1980. Ann worked diligently as a Dispensing Pharmacist for St, Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI and Chippewa Falls, WI, at the hospital in Osseo, WI, for Shopko in River Falls WI and as a Pharmacy Manager for Shopko traveling throughout Central WI. She took great pride in opening the Aurora Pharmacy in Wautoma, WI and managed that location much of her 40-year career before retiring.

Ann loved to read and often listened to various audiobooks on her 90-minute commute to and from work. She passed on this love of reading to her nephew, Garrett, and would share various book recommendations and discussions with him as he transitioned from high school to college. She loved to look for new cookie recipes for family holiday baking and loved to bring out her special china to be a "hostess with the mostess" for holiday dinners, often enjoying a good wine or cocktail for the occasion. Packer and Badger games served her as ongoing entertainment as she would immerse herself in the game while working on her favorite cross-stitch patterns. A devoted fan of Winnie the Pooh, the colors red and purple, and irises, Ann would also decorate her home with apple décor and little village memorabilia, including-of course-a pharmacy. Ann also loved her watches and jewelry and didn't feel dressed without them.

A funeral mass will be offered in Ann's honor at Sacred Heart Church in Mondovi, WI with her burial at Saint Patrick's Cemetery of Canton following the mass on Monday, May 18th. Visitation will be at the church at 11:00 and the mass at 11:30. There will be a luncheon at the church following the burial.
