Ann R. Dreyfus, Age 74, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She was born to the late Irving and Sally (Askins) Palow on February 15, 1948, in Miami, FL. After she was born, Ann’s family moved to Providence, RI where she would spend her childhood. Ann married Gary Dreyfus on November 28, 1971, in Providence. Ann obtained a bachelor’s degree in education and spent her career as an elementary school teacher for the Oshkosh Area School District. Ann was an avid reader and she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons. She was a charitable person, always trying to find toys and gifts for children in need as well as being an avid supporter of the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. Ann was a lover of nature, and always became very excited when her house was visited by her local hummingbirds. Ann loved spending her time with Gary, whether it was quiet nights in watching movies together or going to dinners at the Roxy together. Ann and Gary are members at Congregation B’nai Israel.
Ann is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Brian (Lissa) Dreyfus, Stacy (Nathan) Emens, Lindsey (Thomas) Granite; 7 grandsons, Adam Koelbl, Andrew Dreyfus, William Dreyfus, Stephen Emens, Logan Emens, Thomas “Tag” Granite, and Benjamin Granite.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Palow.
A service for Ann will be held at the Lake View Memorial Park Chapel (2786 Algoma Blvd) on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 11AM. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of service.
