Anthony "Tony" Paul Duron Sr.

January 20, 1965 — November 14, 2024

Oshkosh

Anthony “Tony aka Tone Loc" Paul Duron Sr., age 59 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on November 14th at Ascension Mercy Medical Hospital-Oshkosh after being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had metastasized to his brain 6 weeks earlier. We weren't expecting his departure to be so quick. We were hoping for more time, but his body and his soul were tired, and God knew he needed to rest now. He was born in Chicago, IL, on January 20, 1965, to Mary H. Martinez.

He attended Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park, IL, before moving to Oshkosh, where he would spend the remaining years of his life. A devoted chef in the restaurant industry, Tony spent many years serving the people of Oshkosh with his culinary skills and passion for cooking. Tony's love for food was only matched by his love for cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Throughout his life, Tony found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was spending time with his good friends or being the life of the party wherever he went. His easygoing nature and warm smile made him a favorite among his long-time friends, and anyone else he met. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Tony is lovingly survived by his children, Anthony Duron Jr. and Jordan Duron; mother, Mary Martinez; siblings, John Duron (Kathy), Mike (Jodi) Duron and April Duron. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held for Tony at a later date.

Special thank you to the Michael Walcholz Cancer Center team. You were all amazing and so crucial in his treatments. He enjoyed seeing your smiling faces and cracking jokes with you all. A personal thank you from his sister, to Melissa there for the numerous phone calls they had and guiding her through some scary moments of not knowing what to do and the unknown.

Forever in our hearts "Pauly", rest peacefully now, brother.
