Benjamin M. Tranholm, 88, of Oshkosh, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away May 16, 2007. Beloved husband for 64 years of Audrey (nee Koepke). Dear father of John (Mary) Tranholm, loving grandfather of JB (Chris) Tranholm of Portland, OR, and Marlo Tranholm of Oshkosh. Much loved great grandpa of Aurora Audrey and Cash Nathan of Portland, OR. He will also be missed by his sister Helen Klug and a sister-in-law Wallie Koepke, nieces, nephews, the Schmid and Sweitzer families and other relatives and friends. Two sisters and three brothers-in-law preceded him in death. In state at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, Saturday, May 19th from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 3:00 PM, the Rev. James Daugherty officiating. Additional viewing and visitation on Monday, May 21, 2007, at Chapel of the Pines, Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 W. Capitol Dr. Milwaukee, from 11:00 AM until time of committal at 12:30 PM. Ben served his country in the US Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post #70 Oshkosh. He was a long time Art Director and Designer in the packaging field. The family extends special thanks to Aurora VNA and Hospice, and the staff and caregivers at Harbor House for all of their compassion. Memorial gifts are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
