Bernice Rewalt

Bernice I. Rewalt, age 101, passed away February 7, 2009 in Carrington Place of Wytheville, VA. She was born in Waupaca County WI in 1907 the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine Klingert Miller.Moving from Oshkosh, WI in 2001, she made her home in Pulaski, VA, residing at Pulaski Retirement Center, and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Dublin, VA. She moved to Carrington Place in October of 2008. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Jacobs, her second husband, Ray Rewalt, and a grandson Walter Jacobs.She is survived by her son, Gordon (Vanice) Jacobs of Max Meadows, VA; two step sons, Ray Rewalt, Jr. (Jean Heinz) of Oshkosh, WI, Gary (Sandra) Rewalt of Ankeny IA; her grandsons, Steve (Liz) Jacobs of Austin, TX, Clint (Sue) Jacobs of Huntington, MD, Bruce (Colleen) Jacobs of Brandy Station, VA. Also surviving are four step grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a great great grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Westside with Rev. Steven Kaehr officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be in Ellenwood Cemetery at a later date.
