“It all goes by so fast.” A quote from Betty on November 29, 2025.
Betty L. Pernu was born February 16, 1935. Formerly of Parkville, MN, Betty died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Betty was a graduate of Virginia High School, MN and the Minnesota School of Business Minneapolis. She was kind and full of grace, strong faith and always a lady. Her quiet nature and loving personality was enjoyed by all who met her. She loved nature’s beauty and could sit in and appreciate the moment. Always bringing calm and an unhurried presence to the time you spent with her, carrying peace to the situation as a good listener and encouraging to everyone. She was the biggest supporter of her family in so many selfless ways, always giving all of herself and her spirit to the moment. She was a lesson in strength and determination, calm and quiet until the very end. Her faith in the Lord and persistence to make sure that everyone else was taken care of before herself was a blessing to everyone who knew her.
Betty enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the birds in their backyard, reading a book and soaking in the sunshine with a cup of tea and a cookie. “Always room for tea and a cookie.”
A special thank you to her children and grandchildren, as well as Brooke and Monica with Aurora at Home Hospice, for their care and compassion allowing her to live out her life with peace and dignity in her own home.
