Beverly Olsen

August 6, 1940 — September 3, 2025

Beverly Joan Olsen, 85, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 6, 1940, to the late John and Marion Sanders, Beverly's joyful spirit and warmth touched the lives of everyone she met.

Beverly graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1958 and went on to work in various roles, including a brief stint with an accountant in Appleton and as a secretary at Kimberly Clark Corporation in Neenah. However, it was her beloved role as the parish secretary for St. Peter's Church in Oshkosh, a position she held for over 25 wonderful years, that truly brought her joy and fulfilment.

On September 6, 1996, Beverly married the love of her life, Peter Olsen, creating a partnership filled with laughter and love. Together, they built a beautiful life enriched by friendship and family.

A talented musician in her youth, Beverly was a certified accordion teacher and shared her passion for music with those around her. She loved spending time outdoors, from playing badminton and croquet with friends to snowmobiling at the family cottage during winter months. Beverly also had a creative side. Her ceramics brought smiles to many, as she gifted beautifully hand-painted treasures to family and friends. In her later years, she loved baking all different types of holiday cookies with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing sheepshead and cribbage. Like her mother before her, she had a knack for winning!

Beverly is survived by her husband, Peter Olsen; daughter, Mindy (Jon) Burns, of Manitowoc; step-sons, Todd and Shane Olsen, of Key West, FL; grandchildren, Ryan Burns, of Manitowoc, Nicholas Burns of Kiel, and Emily (Fiancé Michael Lemmens) Burns, of Appleton; brother, James (Judy) Sanders, of Green Bay; sister, Marianne Golay of Oshkosh; nieces & nephews, Christina (Brian) Gilkes, of Oshkosh, Jeff (Kim) Sanders, & Janet (Joe) White of Green Bay, and many grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Sanders; brother-in-law, Paul Golay; and nephew, Matthew Golay

A private service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church with a burial that took place at Lake View Memorial Park.

A special thank you to the Aurora Hospice Team who took excellent care of mom when she needed them the most. Especially Whitney, Erica, Jessica, Lisa, & Tammy.
