Embraced peacefully in the arms of family, Bonnie Marshek (Mahr) passed away in the early hours of Monday, June 16, 2025 at the age of 92. She will be remembered for her great love of life and beautiful smile.
Bonnie was born to Hazel Belzer Mahr and Andrew Mahr on January 5, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI. Throughout her life, Bonnie had a love for people, learning, and travel. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Marshek of Oshkosh, Wl; her children Laurie Brito (Much) and Ricki Much of Oshkosh, WI; her two sisters: Marjorie Kallin and Ruth Andresen; as well as her three brothers: Donald, Robert and Wayne Mahr.
Bonnie is survived and will be greatly missed by her two step-sons: Jeff Marshek of Oshkosh, WI and Scott Marshek of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren: Crystal Cardell of Oshkosh, WI, Valerie (Ryan) Scofield of Milwaukee, Wl, and Mandy (Steve) Cole of Bridgetown, MO; her three great-grandchildren: Starlight Cardell of Fond du Lac, WI and Ryan and Samantha Scofield of Milwaukee, WI; and her great-niece Pat (Troy) Heidorn and great-nephew Dennis (Helene) Mahr of Phoenix, AZ.
Memorial services will be held for Bonnie on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Lake View Memorial Park located at 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, WI 54901. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with funeral services to follow at 12:00pm.
Bonnie's family would like to thank the caring and compassionate hired-in staff and hospice staff at Aurora Health Care in Oshkosh, Wi that provided care to Bonnie. Thank you for making her feel comfortable and cared for in her final days.
