Brenda S. Hauber

Brenda Sue Hauber, age 79 of Oshkosh, passed away at Aurora Medical Center on Monday, February 2, 2026. She was born in Oshkosh on January 4, 1947, to the late Herman “Allan” and Alice (Lawrence) Hauber.

Brenda was a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She loved life, and her family was at the center of it all. She was married to Carl Acker and together they raised their beloved daughter, Elisabeth. For over 40 years, Brenda shared her passion for the community as a dedicated employee at the Oshkosh Public Museum.

Brenda was a proud grandmother to her grandsons, Mason and Barrett, and her love for them was immense. Known for her soft spot for animals, she filled her home with many furry friends throughout the years. She also had a green thumb, enjoying gardening and caring for her yard.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Elisabeth (Andrew) Standiford; grandsons, Mason and Barrett.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Caleb; special aunt, Doede (Ronald) Maple.

A celebration of life for Brenda will be held at the Lake View Memorial Park chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Following the gathering, burial will take place at 2:15 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society in Brenda’s name would be greatly appreciated.
