Bryan Hall Bartelt

Bryan H. Bartelt, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday July 30, 2022 at The Residence.  He was born on June 5, 1940 in Oshkosh a son of Ralph and Mildred Hall Bartelt.  On October 6, 1962 he married Carol Windle in Oshkosh.  She preceded him in death on July 27, 2016.

Bryan worked for many years for the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, wintering in Arizona after his retirement, traveling, and woodworking.

He is survived by his children Jodi(Dave) Mrstik, Scott(Heather) Bartelt, and Jill Bartelt, 8 grandchildren Nate(Holly), Chad(Kayla), Amber(Matt), Alex, Jake(Ashley), Josh, Mathilda(Cory Kurth), Isabella, 11 great-grandchildren Bryce, Bria,Adalyn, Loni, Marie, David, Jax, Tommy, Aaron, Amariana, Owen, two brothers Jan(Janet), and Loren, one sister Laurel Bartelt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his daughter Deborah Kay Bartelt.

Funeral services for Bryan will be held at 11 a.m.  on Thursday August 4, 2022 at Wyldewood Baptist Church.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park.

A memorial has been established.

The family would like to the thank the staff at the Residence Assisted Living in Oshkosh for all the care and love they provided to Bryan the last 2 ½ years as well at ThedaCare Hospice for supporting them  and keeping him comfortable.
