Christine “Chris” Woldt, age 82 of Oshkosh, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on July 20, 2026. She was born in Chicago, IL on April 12, 1944 to Helena Stika.
Chris was a dedicated member of Faith Christian Center, where she passionately served on the worship team and took the lead with the youth group, revivals, Bible camp, and the cherished annual harvest event.
Her 17-year career with the State of Wisconsin corrections was a testament to her commitment to service and making a difference in the lives of others.
Those who knew Chris remember her wit and humor, her love of reading, and her talent for nurturing her garden, particularly her beautiful flowers. Not only was she an exceptional cook, but her baking brought joy to family gatherings, especially the delightful Christmas cookies that would cover every inch of the kitchen, leaving sweet memories for everyone.
Chris was the proud mother of five: James Riplow, Margaret (Geoffrey Sr.) Graves, Robert (Laura) Riplow, Theresa (Joseph) Wheeler, and Joseph (Julie) Tatro. She cherished her role as a grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. Chris also held close friendships with Betty, Clarene, and Gail, and had a special bond with her caretaker, Megan, who provided her with loving support.
She joins in eternal peace her mother, Helena Lenzi, her beloved grandson, Anthony, and her ex-husband, Lowell Woldt, who always held a special place in her heart.
