Corinne F. Leichtfuss

Corinne Faye Leichtfuss, age 91, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026. In her final days, she was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Corinne was born on March 6, 1935, to the late Armin and Elsa (Zingler) Zobel.

Corinne dedicated much of her professional life to serving Winnebago County before retiring.

She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She treasured the many Saturday evenings she spent serving as a deacon alongside her grandson. Corinne enjoyed being a member of Grace Circle and singing in the church choir. She generously gave her time to Grace Lutheran School, assisting with the school lunch program and reading to the children.

Outside of church, she enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center, playing BINGO and taking countless bus trips. She stayed active by attending aqua aerobics at the YMCA and had a lifelong love of cribbage.

In her later years, Corinne’s colorful spirit continued to shine as she took on the role of “Granny” to her great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her vibrant style, sparkly jewelry, and signature red lipstick.

During her time at Lakepoint Villa, she formed close bonds with the staff and her fellow residents, who quickly became her second family. She especially loved calling and playing BINGO and was always happy to join in the fun. Much to her own surprise, Corinne also discovered a love for puzzles and crafting. Never one to sit idle for too long, she was always looking for ways to lend a hand and happily helped with chores around the facility.

Those who knew Corinne knew she was almost always running a little late. It was simply part of who she was. Even during her three weeks in the hospital, Corinne continued to move through life on her own timetable, just as she always had. In true Corinne fashion, she was a little poky right to the very end.

Corinne is lovingly survived by her son, Jeffrey (Julie) Leichtfuss; grandchildren, Jason Leichtfuss, Jennifer Krueger, Jamie (Cullen) Raasch, Jessica (Christopher) Lee; great-grandchildren, Kaden and Jaxson Krueger, Ethan (Lindsey Straveler), Ava and Charlotte Raasch, and Ella and Hudson Lee; brother, Norman (Yvonne) Zobel; and countless nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Corinne was preceded in death by her siblings, Geraldine and Paul Zobel.

Corinne’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and staff at Lakepoint Villa and Aurora Medical Center for the extraordinary care, kindness and compassion they showed Corinne and her family.

A celebration of Corinne’s life will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. Oshkosh, WI 54904 on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
