Darrell Jones

Oct 31, 1940 — Aug 2, 2026

Darrell Jones, age 85, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 2, 2026. He was born to the late Dale and Willabell (Timmerman) Jones on October 31, 1940, in Oshkosh. Darrell married Lynn McBrair on March 2, 2018, after 20+ years together.

He worked at Oshkosh Truck until he left there to farm with his father. After many years of working the land, he was eventually able to create Wil-Dale farms that has been passed on to his sons. In his younger years, Darrell was the assistant fire chief for the Nekimi Fire Dept. He enjoyed watching the Packers, NASCAR, hunting, fishing, sturgeon spearing as well as actively volunteering for EAA. He also served as a board member for a couple local farm co-ops.

In his later years, Darrell and Lynn would winter in Florida where they had a condo on Fort Meyers Beach, until Hurricane Ian helped them decide to move inland. He was always up for a happy hour or getting into mischief with his buddy Jim. Darrell could often be found in his shop fixing anything that needed it as he was an excellent mechanic. He always had a cold beer for anyone that stopped by the shop, especially a daily visit with his great friend, Dave Lindemann (deceased); who will greet Darrell with a cold Coors Light in hand when he gets to the pearly gates.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Lynn; children, Jeffrey (Susan), Scott (Kristi) Jones, & Colleen (Peter) Turner; grandchildren, Brady (Natalie), Kesley, Ashley, Ryan(Joelle), Meghan, & Morrigan; great-grandchildren, Finn, Zachary, Carter, & Stella; mother of his children, Trudy Jones; stepchildren, Adam (Tracy) Galica, David Galica, & Michelle Wendorf; step grandchildren, Morgan, Mason, Tyler, Mackenzi, Gavyn, Aadyn, Amare. He is further survived by his siblings, Shirley Miller, Janis Kordner, Patricia Felker, & Dennis (Sue) Jones; in-laws, John (Carol), Ron, Larry (Carol), Julie, Tim (Cheryl), Alan (Kathy) McBrair; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Ronald Miller, Charles "Chuck" Kordner, and Marland "Mully" Felker.

A funeral service for Darrell will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes West (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 11AM. A time of visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service. A burial will take place at Bethesda Ring Cemetery.
