David Lee Luft

David L. Luft, age 86 of Oshkosh, passed away at The Courtyard Assisted Living on Thursday, June 6, 2024. He was born on November 3, 1938 to the late George and Anita (Schultz) Luft. David was united in marriage to Sandra Ott on March 2, 1957 and together they raised their two sons.

Throughout his life, David found fulfillment in his work as the owner and operator of Dave’s Auto Repair for 27 years, later transitioning to a career at CR Meyer. A dedicated mechanic, he poured his heart and soul into his work, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. 

In his leisure time, David found solace in the great outdoors, indulging in his passion for hunting, fishing, and escaping to the cabin retreat. He also enjoyed the sport of golf in his earlier years.

David is survived by his wife, Sandra Luft; sons, Kevin (Barb) Luft and Karey (Andrea Daun) Luft; grandchildren, Jayme Luft, Kaycee Luft and Bret Luft; great-grandchildren, Kyler (Kait), Ryleigh and Bennett; sister, Paula (Tray) Hornbeck.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at The Bar, 825 N Washburn St, Oshkosh, WI 54904.
