David Wayne Tigert

On May 13, 2026, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, The Lord answered Dave's prayers and took him home with his family by his side.

Dave was born on December 28, 1947 in Oshkosh, WI, son of the late Richard and Lillian (Koplitz) Tigert. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1966. On May 10, 1969, he married the love of his life, Diane Hass. They were grateful to have 57 wonderful years together.

He started working at Pepsi Co. while in high school. Dave worked various jobs and ended his full-time employment with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Dave was a hard worker, after retiring he found himself back to working part time at the Oshkosh School District and Kwik Trip.

Dave's pride and joy was his grandkids and the time spent with them. As a couple Dave and Diane enjoyed line dancing and going on trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada, making new friends along the way.

Dave is survived by the luckiest people to have known him, his wife, Diane Tigert; daughters, Roxanne Tigert, Krystal (John) Mazzuca; grandchildren, Kelsey (Jacob) Chappa, Carson (Toni) Post, Sheridyn Brayshaw and Ethan Brayshaw; sisters-in-law, Marlene (Richard) Schultz and Cheryl Miller; brothers-in-law, David (Paula) Hass and Gary (Teresa) Hass; his godchildren, Doug Tigert and Jason Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Tigert; his father and mother- in-law Arthur and Elsie Hass; and brothers-in-law, Ronald Hass and Randy Miller.

A funeral service for Dave will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, starting at 12:00pm, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr., A time of visitation will begin at 10:00am and continue until the start of the service. Interment will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Oshkosh.
