Debra L. Wanish

Debra L. Wanish, age 68, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away peacefully with her sons by her side on September 28, 2026 at Ascension Mercy Medical Center.

Debbi was born on Christmas Eve of 1957, in Oshkosh, WI, daughter of Richard and Carolyn (Tank) Zastrow. She graduated from Oshkosh North High School and went on to work at 4Imprint for 20 years. She married Perry Wanish on August 6th, 1999.

Debbi enjoyed movies and reality tv shows. She loved talking strategy for some of her favorite shows like Big Brother and Survivor. She was known for inadvertently spoiling the results for friends and family not up to date on her favorite shows. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren the most. Her legacy will live on in all of them.

Debbi is survived by her husband, Perry Wanish; sons, Keith Alger (wife Kim, children Nolan (16), Carson (14), and Laina (8)), Adam Alger (wife Codi, children Anya (13) and Ozzy 10)), Shaun Wanish (partner Lexy, children Addilynn (5) and Theodore (4))

She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Carolyn Zastrow, brother Mark Zastrow, uncle Charles Zastrow, and aunt Germaine Tank

A memorial service for Debbi will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave, Oshkosh, on Saturday, October 10, 2026, beginning at 1:00pm. A time of visitation will start at 11:00am and continue until the start of the service. Inurnment will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Oshkosh.
