Denise G. Kokke

Denise G. Kokke, age 67 of Oshkosh, passed away at Cherry Meadows of Appleton on Sunday, July 13, 2025. She was born in Fond du Lac to the late Harold and Phyllis (Rock) Funk on January 30, 1958.

For many years, Denise dedicated herself to her job at Amcor, but her true joy came from spending time with her kids, Adam and Erin. Denise cherished family vacations, especially trips to Sanibel Island, Florida, where she made lasting memories with her sisters. Known for her amazing cooking skills, she also loved gardening, playing games, and filling her life with music—The Beatles being her absolute favorite. Denise had a big heart and a spirit that lit up every room.

Denise is survived by her children, Adam Kokke and Erin Kokke; siblings, Diane (Jim) Swalby, Dawn Funk, Daryl Funk; nieces, Lauren (Bryan) Collies, Aimee (Jeremy) Grissmeyer; great-nieces-and-nephews, Hannah (Anthony) Neubauer, Charlotte Collies and Alexander Collies; great-great-nephews, Elijah, Jackson and Michael.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Jennifer Swalby.

A celebration of life for Denise will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Denise’s memory with a donation to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, a cause close to her heart.
