Edward Koelbl

Edward D. Koelbl, age 91, passed away peacefully at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh on August 9, 2025. Ed was born on August 11, 1933, the son of the late Gilbert W. and Laura R. (Fox) Koelbl. Ed lived in Oshkosh, WI until the age of 30 when he moved to Milwaukee, WI where he was a patternmaker. He returned to Oshkosh when he retired from his profession at the age of 62. Ed enjoyed traveling, a little gambling, and loved a good game of Sheepshead.

Ed is survived by many nieces and nephews who live throughout the United States. In particular, Ed was blessed to have Casey Koelbl, his great-nephew, who provided excellent care for him in his later years of life.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Laura Koelbl, his three brothers: Frank (Bernice) Koelbl, Joseph (Donna) Koelbl, Gilbert Koelbl, and four sisters: Mary (Oliver) Holmes, Helen (Collins) Whitehead, Edith (Eugene) Pilon, and Dorothy (Joseph) Ryan.

A visitation service for Ed will take place at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, WI on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, starting at 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. with a small prayer service to follow.
