Stan Sherman

Edward Stanley Sherman "Stan", age 90, passed away at Bethel Homes of Oshkosh on Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was born on February 7, 1935 to the late Willaim Stanley Sherman and Myrtle Christine Jensen in Monroe County, WI.

Stan Graduated from Elroy Highschool in 1953. Some time after high school, he went to work as a linotype operator for the Hillsboro Sentry Newspaper where he met his true love, Marilyn Yvonne, who he would marry on June 21, 1968. Together they had one son and adopted one daughter. Around 1980, Stan worked for the Winneconne Public Wastewater department for over 20 years. Stan enjoyed anything from trains to John Deere tractors to spending several hours dedicated to his hook latching creations. Stanley was a member of Plymouth Church in Oshkosh, WI.

Stan is survived by his son, Peter Sherman; daughter, Stacey Sherman; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; and two sons, Rob & Randy Losic.

A funeral service for Stan will be held at Plymouth Church (1325 Georgia St) on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 4PM. A time of visitation will be held from 3PM until the time of service. A burial will take place at Winneconne Cemetery.
