Ellen L. McDonald

Ellen Luise McDonald, age 74, of Oshkosh, passed away at her home on Monday, February 26, 2024.  She was born on August 21, 1949, in Oshkosh a daughter of Herbert and Eva Dumke Strycker.  She married Steven L. McDonald on June 28, 1975.

Ellen loved spending her weekends camping at Little Silver in the summer. She spent many hours a day in her flower garden and her love of gardening will live on in her husband, children and grandchildren. Her family was everything to her. She was so very proud of her 8 grandchildren and poured her love onto them. She exemplified God’s love and touched so many lives. Her laughter was contagious, and she truly loved life and Jesus. 

She is survived by her husband Steven, two sons Jesse McDonald, Michael McDonald, one daughter Sarah Klessig, eight grandchildren Madeline, Isaac, Ellie, Keliah, Bethany, Marcus, Lydia, Clarity, one sister Kathy (Tom) Mundl, one brother Michael (Mary) Strycker.

Private family services will be held.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, Dr. Duwell, and Tisha Kenneback for their exceptional care and comfort provided to Ellen.
