Gabriel “Gabe” John Zimmer, age 39, of Oshkosh, left this world on February 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 14, 1987, in Jacksonville, FL, to Scott and Katharine (Christiansen) Zimmer, Gabe was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him.
Gabe recently married the love of his life, Jenna Copeland, on September 9, 2023. Together, they welcomed their precious baby boy, Rory, just a short time ago—a reminder of the joy and happiness that filled Gabe's life. His bond with his family was paramount, and he cherished every moment spent with them, from family gatherings to days spent at the cabin hunting and fishing.
A dedicated employee at Morton Pharmacy, Gabe found camaraderie in his work environment, and his team supported him throughout his journey. His passions were many—drawing, listening to rock music, and enjoying the great outdoors. Cooking was one of Gabe’s greatest joys, a way he shared his creativity and brought people together around delicious meals.
Gabe is survived by his wife, Jenna Zimmer; son, Rory; parents, Katharine Zimmer and Scott (Barb) Zimmer; grandparents, Annabel and Chris Christiansen and Raymond Zimmer; siblings, Tyler (Brittany) Zimmer and Tessa (Nick) Williams; nephews and niece, Mack, Reed, Piper, Hayden, and another little one on the way. He is further survived by his in-laws, William Weisensel and Michelle Copeland, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bonney Zimmer.
A celebration of Gabe’s life will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society in Gabe’s memory.
Special thanks to the entire ThedaCare team, especially the cancer center, oncology department, and hospice program, for their incredible care and support during this challenging time.
Cancer may have shortened his life, but it never defined it. What defined him was his kindness, his strength, and the way he made people feel safe, seen, and loved. He taught us the value of tenderness, resilience, and holding close to what truly matters.
