Gail J. Lorge

Jun 29, 1943 — Jul 21, 2026

Gail June Lorge, age 83 of Oshkosh, was welcomed into heaven on July 21, 2026. She was born on June 29, 1943, to the late William and Margaret Tully. Gail was united in marriage to Thomas Lorge, to whom she was married for nearly 63 years. Together, they raised two wonderful children and built a family that reflects their unwavering devotion.

In her younger days, you could find Gail cheering her heart out on the Junior Varsity and Varsity cheerleading squads in high school. As time went on, her passion shifted to square dancing, taking part in monthly Gourmet Club nights and maybe even a gambling trip here and there. She also loved to play games of all kinds and travel to exotic destinations. It brought her great joy to plan family trips and travel with her sisters.

Gail was an extraordinary homemaker, renowned for her eye for detail and her green thumb with plants—she truly earned the title of "plant lady." Her home was always filled with life and love, which reflected her caring nature. Above all, Gail cherished her family and was known for being straightforward and candid- a quality those who loved her came to appreciate and admire.

Gail is lovingly survived by her husband, Tom Lorge; children, Kristin (Brian) Boulter and Chad Lorge; grandchildren, Kal (Haley), Jesse and Mallari; great-grandchild, Triston; sisters, Aundra (Gerald) Kohlbeck and Karen (Steven) Scheuermann; sisters-in-law, Dot Tully and Rebecca Lorge, nieces and nephews, Kim, Shelly, Jodi, Eric, Kari, Andy, Erica, Amanda, John and Sherri.

In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her grandson, Seth; brother, William (Dot) Tully; sister, Mary (Richard) Palmquist, and brothers-in-law, Steve and John Lorge.

In keeping with Gail’s wishes, a visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, at the Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, from 10am to 12pm. Her family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff and residents of Park View Health Center, Emerald Ridge, and Evergreen Retirement Community for providing Gail with such a warm and caring environment over the years. We are also deeply grateful for the exceptional care given by the Aurora St. Luke’s team during this difficult time.
