Gerald “Jerry” A. Fischer, age 89, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on January 23, 2026, at Bethel Nursing Home, in Oshkosh, WI.
Jerry was born on July 18, 1936, in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Lester and Violetta (Langenfeld) Fischer. He graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1954. Jerry went on to serve his country by joining the Army in 1958 and served in the National Guard for 6 years.
Jerry married Marilyn Rand on November 29, 1958. She preceded him in death on September 20, 2000. He later married Jean Winchester on March 20, 2004.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He especially loved spending time up at the cabin in Spirit, WI. He was a lifetime member of the Van Dyne Sportsman club and enjoyed shooting trap. Jerry worked for many years as a Salesman for McDermott Pumps.
Jerry is survived by his son, Steven (Tamara) Fischer; stepchildren Gary (Kathy) Winchester & Bruce (Kim) Winchester; grandsons, Jerrett(special friend Kaylea Emmer) Fischer and Alex (Sammie) Fischer-Berger; 4 great-grandchildren, Mercy, Sparrow, Olive, and Silas; step grandchildren, Wendy (Scott) Okon, Tim (Wendy) Winchester, Bill (Heather) Winchester, Sara (David) Ward, Emily (George) Metropulos; step great grandchildren, Rayleigh, Noah, Allie , Macy, Tess, Georgie, Cecily and Ellery; brother-in-law, Glenn Rand; sister-in-law, Carol Rand; as well as his nieces. He is preceded in death by his second wife, Jean; and son, James Fischer.
Jerry’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Gabriel’s Villa for their compassionate care throughout his stay; he enjoyed listening to Paster Stuart and took great comfort in his sermons.
A memorial service for Jerry will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 12:00pm, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. A time of visitation will be held beginning at 10:00am until the start of the service. Inurnment will take place following the service with military honors at 2:00pm, at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
