Gerald “Jerry” F. Johnson, of Oshkosh, passed away on June 7, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born on August 13 to the late Herbert and Mary (Smith) Johnson in Minneapolis, MN.

In his younger years, Jerry proudly served in the United States Navy. Throughout his life, he held various jobs, spreading his work ethic and dedication across many fields, both before and after his retirement.

Jerry was a faithful member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church. He was actively involved in his recovery program for many years, demonstrating resilience and commitment. Known for his quiet demeanor, he communicated volumes through his kind actions and genuine spirit—a true gentleman at heart.

Jerry's love for golf kept him on the greens, while his passion for cooking turned him into a culinary enthusiast. He had an undeniable appreciation for good food and a sweet tooth that never faded—ice cream was his ultimate treat, and he savored it to the very end.

Jerry is lovingly survived by his wife, Cathy Nimmer; son, Jeffery (Alma) Johnson; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, David and Peter Johnson. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Mark and Harold Johnson.

In honoring Jerry's wishes, cremation will take place, and he will be interred at Riverside Cemetery.
