Gerald M. Reigh, 76, Oshkosh, passed away Monday, July 09, 2018 at his home. He was born November 28, 1941, in Oshkosh, the son of John and Hilda (Sitte) Reigh. Jerry married the love of his life Kathleen Sue Decker on June 6, 1964 and shared 51 years of marriage with her until she passed away on September 9, 2015.
Jerry worked for Rockwell International for 32 years until his retirement on May 1, 1995. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 70 for over 40 years. Jerry was Past Exalted Ruler of Oshkosh Elks Lodge 292. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with the Wisconsin Red Arrow Division, called to active duty for the Berlin Crisis. He enjoyed spending his winters in Harlington, TX the last 20 years. Jerry also had a love for hunting, fishing, and watching Western movies.
Jerry is survived by his son, John (Candice) Reigh; a granddaughter, Ali Reigh; two sisters: Gloria Tank and Judy Berholtz; an uncle, Norm (Edie) Sitte.
In addition to Kathy, Jerry was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law: Leroy Tank and Bill Berholtz, and aunts and uncles: Carl (Paulette) Reigh, Fred (Margaret) Klotzbuecher, and Adam (Viola) Luft.
In accordance with Jerry’s wishes cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, where Jerry will be buried next to his wife Kathy.
