Harold E. Pietz

December 13, 1932 — February 2, 2024

Harold Pietz passed away at Park View Health Center on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was born at home on Bowen Street on December 13, 1932, son of Harry Pietz and Ida Klegin Pietz.


Harold graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1950. Shortly thereafter he started working at Marathon Corp in Neenah. In 1972 he was transferred to Cincinnati, Ohio with American Can Co. He worked in the paper packaging industry for 48 years retiring from Georgia Pacific Co. in 1998 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The family came back to Oshkosh in 2013.


Harold married Lois Zentner on October 10, 1959, in Oshkosh. They had one son, Scott. Harold was active in his church and a wonderful father to his handicapped son.


Harold is survived by his wife Lois, son Scott, sister Harriet Bradley and sister and brother-in-law, James and Sharon Nitschke. He was preceded in death by sisters Gladys Harrison and Erma Bradley. Brothers-in-law, Robert Harrison, Lawrence Bradley, Lee Bradley and John Zentner.


A memorial service for Harold will take place in the Great Room at Park View Health Center, 725 Butler Ave. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Dorn officiating. Visitation will take place in the Great Room from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.


The family would like to thank Park View Health Center for the loving care given to Harold by the staff.


Memorials may be directed to Living Water Lutheran Church or Park View Health Center.
